So, you might be wondering about the inspiration behind the name "Beacon Hill."
Well, "Beacon Hill" holds a special significance because it represents the two distinct regions in Canada that have shaped my life—two contrasting corners of this vast country.
The "Beacon" part pays tribute to the first half of my life, which I spent growing up in New Brunswick. Lighthouses always held a special place in my heart, likely influenced by the fact that all my grandfathers were fishermen. I have fond memories of these iconic beacons from my childhood. Beyond their physical presence, "Beacon" is also symbolic of how I strive to live my life, by radiating the light of Jesus to those around me.
On the other hand, "Hill" embodies my current home. I've dedicated the past 20 years of my life to Okotoks, Alberta, nestled in the "Foothills" of the majestic Rocky Mountains. It's where I've found my place, and it's a region that's close to my heart.
So, "Beacon Hill" isn't just a name; it's a reflection of my journey and the two beautiful chapters of my life that have brought me to where I am today.
